Wireless Internet

The Timberline Motel is happy to offer free high-speed wireless Internet service in all rooms. Our wireless Internet portal is accessible via your laptop computer’s internal adaptor or wireless card. If you require an external wireless card, they are available at the front desk at a rate of $4.00 per night; there is a $50.00 charge for unreturned or damaged cards.

You must have Windows 98, XP, or 2000 installed in your computer. Older machines that have been upgraded from Windows 95 to 98 may experience difficulties. Additionally, your computer must have an internal wireless card or PCMCIA slot. Linux and Mac machines with their own cards should also be able to connect.

As with any Internet connection there is a possibility that it may not work, that the connection may be lost, or that the user may not know how to use it, etcetera. Since this is a free service, and since it carries no guarantee, no refunds will be given for any problems you might experience.
 

Also, it must be very clear that this is not a secure connection, and that you should not transmit credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, or any other such sensitive information over the wireless network.
